My Summer Holiday Essentials

With my holiday approaching in a few weeks *eek, excitement!*, I recently went to my favourite drugstore Boots in the UK to pick up some products that I use all the time on holiday.

As we are going somewhere warm, firstly I picked up the essentials, sun cream! I always buy Soltan sun cream and pick it up in the pack that they bring out every year, as it is usually much cheaper than buying them individually. You get two sun creams, one factor 30, one factor 15 (for when you’ve got a bit more used to the sun!) and an after sun. I’m always attracted to this range because of their 5 star UVA rating for protection and the pack is only £14. I find sun cream can be really expensive so this is a great deal. The spray bottles are also a bonus! You can find it here.

At the moment in Boots they are also running an offer if you spend £12, you get a free face sun cream worth £10! This will be perfect for keeping the delicate skin on my face well protected. I would highly recommend checking out the rest of the range if you are in store.

Sticking with the same theme I also picked up the Garnier Ambre Solaire Dry Mist sun creams which are more expensive at £7 a bottle. However, they are SO easy to apply as their mist spray means no stickiness or residue! My boyfriend also loves keeping these in his car for days when it gets unusually hot in the UK, as they are so quick and easy to apply! You can again pick this product up at Boots by clicking here.

My absolute favourite product for using on holiday is the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun. It is coconut scented and smells just like holidays!! I absolutely swear by this product after sunbathing. It massively helps with keeping your skin moisturised and hydrated and prevents peeling. This product is currently only £7 in Boots and can be found here.

Lastly, I picked up some hair care products. I feel like it can be easy to overlook or not bother with hair care when on holiday, but if your hair is anything like mine it gets majorly dried out and frizzy on holiday so I have to try and keep it maintained! I have naturally curly/wavy hair, so I usually use my trusted Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Treatment which is amazing. However this time I picked up some products from Umberto Giannini as they are currently running a 3 for 2 offer in Boots.

I was not only attracted by the packaging, but I wanted a leave in conditioner to protect my bleached blonde ends from going green in the chlorine! I picked up this Pool Proofproduct which I am excited to try to keep my hair protected. I have used Umberto Giannini hair oils and masks in the past and they have always been great for my hair, although I usually have to use them sparingly so it it doesn’t look greasy. I am excited to try out this Pre-Shampoo treatment as well to help with maintaining the blonde in my hair.

Lastly I am super excited to try this anti-humidity hairspray. If this actually works then I am really looking forward to reducing the Monica from Friends look that I usually have going on! I will definitely let you know if it does what it says! I would recommend having a look at the Umberto Giannini range if they have an offer on, I find their products to be really high quality. You can find the range by clicking here.

An alternative product that I also love and wanted to mention, although not pictured here, is the Pantene Pro V 3 minute miracle treatment. After you leave it on in the shower it softens your hair and reduces frizz massively. It also doesn’t leave your hair feeling greasy in my experience. You can actually find this product for only £2.50 in Sainsburys at the moment or in Superdrug.

There are more products that I love for use on holiday. Would you like to see a part two?
