Did you even know that ASOS did a Beauty Box?! I definitely didn’t before I saw some pictures on fellow bloggers Instagram’s and I just knew I had to get all of the bargains inside! For £12, not including P&P, they include some high end brands, making the value of the products much higher than the price of the box. The boxes sell out really quickly though so you need to be looking out at the beginning of the month as they are not a subscription service.
This month’s theme was ‘Festival’, which is perfect for me as I am going to a festival very soon! The main reason that I was attracted to this box was for the MAC lipstick and Lime Crime Diamond Crushers lip topper. They are both full size products, the RRP for the Lime Crime Diamond Crushers in ‘Lit’ is £18 and the MAC lipstick in ‘Lady Danger’ RRP is £17.50! You can see that the box is massively worth the money if you are looking to try some high end products, and you can see why they sell out so quickly!!
The Lime Crime Diamond Crushers in ‘Lit’ is nothing like I have ever used before. I don’t own any other products from Lime Crime either so I was really excited to try this out! I don’t think the photograph does it justice as to just how glittery and pretty this is! It also smells amazing, really sweet. I layered it on top of a liquid lipstick as it is a lip topper, but I think I would try it over a regular lipstick next time. It almost looks like it is dissolving when you apply it, but it leaves your lips super glittery which is great for a festival look!
The ‘Lady Danger’ lipstick from MAC is also perfect for me. I love a good red lipstick and can see this quickly becoming one of my go to lipsticks. As always, the formula for MAC lipsticks is really pigmented. This does tend to cling to dry patches however so make sure to exfoliate your lips first!
Lastly, the box included some glitter pots, which are ideal for experimental festival looks. One is a gel glitter, and the other has wax in the lid that you apply on your face with loose glitter to stick on top. The one thing that they don’t have in the ASOS box is a card that further explains the products and brands, so I have had a bit of trouble locating the brand but I think the glitter gel is from BOD! I couldn’t find the glitter gel product online from BOD, but I have linked the website here and it looks like they also sell the brand on ASOS. The small glitter pots also look to be ASOS own. I really look forward to trying these out to complete my festival look!
There we have it! What do you think, have you heard of the ASOS beauty box before? I am definitely going to be looking out for the June box if the products are as good as this month’s!
Make sure to keep an eye out for some future festival looks on my Instagram!
