Do I Still Use Products I Have Reviewed?

I saw this blog post idea on the lovely Ellie’s blog – diaryofellie. I thought it would be really interesting to give an update on whether I still use some of the products I have tried on my blog. I have a sneaky suspicion that I will have forgotten about some of the products I tried last year, the perils of being a beauty blogger who always wants to try something new!

I wanted to focus on some individual product reviews in this blog post rather than products from beauty boxes as I know I am guilty of not yet trying them all! Let me know if you would like a part two about whether I use any of my past beauty box products!

Essence

butter sticks

In April last year, I reviewed the Essence Butter Stick Lipsticks‘. I still absolutely love these and use them all the time. I am gutted that they have now been discontinued but I would highly recommend checking out the rest of the Essence lip products at Wilko! You can read my past post all about Essence products here.

Skinny Scrubs

Skinny scrubs

In June last year, I bought a sample range from Skinny Scrubs. The company seems to have grown a lot since then which is great to see! I still use these scrubs to exfoliate my lips. They are coming to the end of their lifespan now but I am not 100% sure whether I would repurchase simply due to having to pay postage! You can read my post about Skinny Scrubs here.

W7 Cosmetics

Back in August, I picked up this haul from W7 for under £6 for the lot. I used the sponge to death to the point where it pretty much disintegrated! I have used the highlighter a few times but it has been quickly overtaken by affordable brands such as Revolution Beauty so unfortunately currently sits at the back of the drawer. You can read my post about these W7 products here.

Benefit

In September, I tried out Benefit‘s ‘Parisian‘ make up set. I absolutely loved the Bad Gal Bang mascara and used it until it was empty, a rarity for me as you can tell! Admittedly I don’t often reach for the blush or highlighter, but I have used the Ka-Brow product quite a few times and have liked the results. It still hasn’t replaced my trusty eyebrow powder however! You can read this blog post here.

Cougar Beauty

Back in November, I tried out products from independent beauty brand Cougar Beauty. I gave the ‘Extreme Whitening Gel’ a good try for a few weeks but didn’t see any dramatic results and forgot to keep using it. I still use the ‘Snake Venom Day Moisturiser‘ however and I really like the formula of the liquid lipstick which I have used a few times. If I am honest I don’t often use facial serums and I am still too scared to try the placenta one!! You can find my past post about Cougar Beauty here if you are interested in any of the products.

And there is plenty more where that came from! When I looked back over my blog I realised how many different products I have tried! It has also made me feel a little guilty about all of the products i’m yet to try or those stuck in the back of the drawer. I have been thinking for a while about donating products to a charity so if you know of one that accept beauty products please let me know as I would love to be less wasteful!

What did you think of today’s blog post? I loved looking back over my past reviews and would love to know about products you are still loving!
