The Glamour Beauty Festival 2019 and Goodie Bag Contents

It’s really funny to think that this time last year I was writing up my visit to the Glamour Beauty Festival 2018 as one of my first ever blog posts. You can read this here! We are now a year on with my second visit to the festival at the Saatchi Gallery in London. If you haven’t been before, just think of it almost like a beauty theme park filled with different stands where you can try makeup, have your nails painted, enjoy a facial and get your hair styled all under one roof. With brands such as Huda Beauty, Elizabeth Arden, Burts Bees and Real Techniques we were very spoilt for choice!

This year we booked the Saturday morning session which was a lot quieter than last year. I would recommend going to the earlier session if you can as we felt a lot more relaxed than last year and as the queues were a lot shorter we were able to try out a lot more of the different stands in comparison. I would say the longest that we waited was about 10 minutes compared to 20/25 minutes last year.

This year’s festival was sponsored by Boots who had their own area filled with the brands that they stock in stores. Trying not to start on a downer but unfortunately this was the most disappointing area as it was all very cramped together. Also, last year the Latest in Beauty wall of freebies allowed for 5 free samples, however this year’s Boots wall only allowed for one product (and you know how much I love a freebie!). I will say however that we picked up a few more free products along the way this year by visiting the various stands and joining in their PR campaigns that usually involved following them on Instagram (there is a lot of PR that goes on!)

One of my favourite parts of the festival was having my makeup applied at the No7 and Huda Beauty stands. Like last year, the makeup artists were really knowledgeable and were able to provide me with lots of hints and tips. I love that the brands never force you to buy the products and are just happy to show off what the products can do and how they can work for you.

If you are interested, the festival also runs beauty talks that you can book in advance for free, or sometimes there are tickets available to pick up on the day. We watched the talk on cruelty free makeup which was really eye opening and made me reflect on how I can make some better makeup choices.

This year’s goodie bag may be even better than last year! There seemed to be more variety of product types, from fake tan to skincare to haircare which for a beauty lover like me is really exciting! As I mentioned, we definitely picked up a lot more freebies aside from those in the goodie bag on our way around the festival such as the Pixi mask and cleansing cloths and Maui conditioner (which smells incredible!) You can’t fault the contents for the price of the ticket £36 (including Glamour early bird), it is absolutely more than worth the money.

I cannot wait to go again next year and to try out all of the products from the goodie bag! It is such a fun day out for any beauty lover and I would highly recommend it.
