Eco-Friendly Christmas Gifts with OKO Marketplace

I’ve made quite a few eco friendly and sustainable swaps over the past few months. I have been motivated to try and reduce my plastic waste and have been very lucky to collaborate with some fantastic eco friendly companies.

One of the companies I want to shout about is OKO Marketplace, a lovely eco friendly business who are actually very local to me. They sent me over some products that I think would make a lovely gift or could even form an amazing eco-friendly gift hamper!*

OKO Marketplace products taken from above featuring a soap, pink clay mask, face scrubbies, skin food bar and conditioner. There is a pine cone garland draped through the picture.

OKO Marketplace, founded by Beth Williams, make it their mission to limit the amount of single use plastic in bathroom and personal care products. They stock a range of vegan, cruelty free, reusable and plastic free products amongst many other values. They also make their own haircare and body products!

The products I received are only a small proportion of the range on their website. Here are some close ups of the products I was kindly sent and their prices to give you an idea of what you can find on OKO Marketplace. All of the products are £10 and under, total bargains!

Sintra Naturals Rose Skin Food Bar RRP £3.50

‘This bar is infused with Rose Petals and French Pink Clay. Rose petals not only help to encourage your skin to maintain its moisture but they are also rich in Vitamin C which can aid in increasing collagen production. French Pink Clay can help to brighten and improve the appearance of pores.

OKO Orange Blossom & Grapefruit Conditioner RRP £8.99 *This also came with a reusable pump RRP £1.

‘Our conditioner not only leaves your hair feeling silky soft but it also protects your scalp and hair, leaving no residue. This conditioner is suitable for all hair types, it is paraben & SLS free, moisturizes the scalp and softens hair and includes vitamin B5 to add shine and lustre.’

OKO Cedarwood & Lemongrass SoapExclusive new product available next week!

Bain and Savon Rose Pink Clay Mask RRP £10

‘Pink Clay Mask is our most gentle mask. The flower petals in this mask form a nutrient-rich tea when combined with warm water. Pink Clay is included for its gently detoxifying benefits and Rose Hip powder infuses skin with vitamin C. The result is a skin softening beautifying mask that leaves skin feeling healthy and rejuvenated.’

Face Scrubbies RRP £5 for a set of 3

‘Handmade in the U.K. these are perfect for washing your face and body. Once you have used them just put them into the washing machine on a cold wash and re-use them. Each scrubbie is approximately 7cm in diameter.’

Wouldn’t these products be perfect in a Christmas gift hamper? I think they would be ideal for someone trying to be a bit more eco-friendly or if you aren’t sure which products to pick, you could buy one of their eco starter kits which you can find here.

Please head over to OKO Marketplace to support this small business, especially during this second lockdown where we can help keep businesses open. Watch out soon for their new website launching next week along with their Christmas gift sets!

Have you made any eco swaps this year? Let me know in the comments!

  1. This year, well actually at the end of last year, I made the swap to eco-friendly shampoo and conditioner bars. I’ve tried a few different ones, but I have to say Korean brand ‘The Vegan Glow’ are my favourite so far. Thanks for sharing about OKO marketplace, I hadn’t heard of them before.
