I have collaborated again with the lovely Chloe (Chloblogs) on this makeup edition of our The Body Shop under £30 series. Click here for the last under £30 post if you missed it! I know lots of people are not wearing makeup at the moment, especially when we are stuck in our houses, but I have been using it to cheer myself up, experiment with colours (I know, shock!) and make myself feel pretty every now and again. I really enjoyed putting together the bronzey look you can see below with some of the products from The Body Shop.
*The Body Shop products used were sent to me to review.
There was a much larger selection of makeup to choose from at The Body Shop than I was expecting, so it was quite difficult to pick! Eventually I decided to go for some products that I was running out of. I went for an eyeliner, a mascara and I also picked a lipstick as I like to try a lip product from pretty much every brand! I have also been looking for a good cruelty free eyeliner for a while so I was especially hoping this product would work for me. As always, I tried to stick to a £30 budget when selecting my products to show you what you can get for your money.
The products that I chose from the Body Shop were:
Love Skin & Lashes Make-Up Duo – RRP £15 (includes the infamous cleansing butter that I can’t wait to try!)
Skinny Felt Liner – RRP £10
Matte Lipstick in Sienna Rose – RRP £8
Collectively these products can be bought for £33, so just over budget. But the good thing about buying from a Body Shop consultant like Chloe, is the discount, meaning you could get all of these products for less than £30.
Welcome to a close up of my eye! As you can see, the mascara is more separating than voluminous but I do like it for a less intense look. I will be continuing to use this mascara for every day makeup looks.
I was also a big fan of the eyeliner which I am very happy about! It had a thin nib as it suggests and it was really black which is exactly what I look for in an eyeliner. I can see myself repurchasing this.
Lastly, I did like the shade of the lipstick but it did cling to my dry patches a little. It was probably my least favourite out of the three products and nothing particularly special to write about.
Overall, as a newbie to The Body Shop makeup I was impressed! I would definitely recommend the mascara and eyeliner as affordable cruelty free options. I will also review the cleansing butter soon that everyone raves about that came in the set!
Thank you again to Chloe for sending me these products. Don’t forget to head over to her blog as well to read her under £30 picks.
