AD – Starpowa Vegan Vitamins Review

I have been curious for a while about whether vitamin supplements or gummies can make a difference. There are lots on the market, so it can be difficult to know which ones are worth your money. When I was contacted by This is Summer to review vegan vitamins from Starpowa, I thought it was a great opportunity to put this to the test. As well as wanting to see whether they work, I also wanted to try them to hopefully get into the habit of taking regular vitamins for my health.

Starpowa outline the ingredients in their vitamin gummies below;

Our scientifically formulated gummies contain NO gelatine, NO gluten, sweeteners extracted from plant extracts and have LESS than ½ a gram of sugar per serving! The delicious gummies are also vegan friendly, contain premium quality ingredients and are bursting with natural flavours making it a healthy way to reach your wellbeing goals.

The two different vitamins that I tried were the Starpowa Hair, Skin and Nail 60 Gummies RRP £39.99 and Snooze Vitamin Gummies RRP £19.99. As you know, I prefer to recommend products to you that I feel are affordable, so keep an eye out for the half price sale on the Starpowa website (which is currently on) as well as the penny sale at Holland and Barrett.

Taste, Texture and Ease

Let’s start with my thoughts on the gummies themselves. As the website mentions, they don’t have a huge amount of sugar in them but they are still sweet. Importantly for me, they are chewable, so I could take them easily as I am useless at taking tablets! They have a pleasant texture and I liked both of the flavours. The Hair, Skin and Nail gummies were berry flavoured and the Sleep gummies were black cherry. You can take these gummies at the same time so I was able to trial taking them both for a month. I found that I enjoyed taking both of the gummies and also remembered to take them daily as I looked forward to it.

Hair Skin and Nail Vitamins

The key ingredients in the Hair, Skin and Nail gummies are;

Biotin, Aloe Vera, Zinc, Vitamin A, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, MSM, Folic Acid, Niacin, Copper, Iodine.

I took these vitamins twice a day for a month and did notice some initial results. I already have very thick hair so I didn’t see much change in terms of thickness or volume, however my hair did feel a lot easier to manage although there isn’t a noticeable change in the pictures. I changed my hair products a few weeks before starting these gummies so it is of course difficult to put this solely down to the gummies.

My biggest surprise of all were my nails. As you can see in the picture on the left, the cuticles and skin were really dry at the start of the month and the nails were very weak. Now they are much stronger, with less breakage and the cuticles have become a lot less dry. I have to say I was sceptical as to whether these vitamins could work but I did not do anything to my nails over the month except for taking the gummies! I would purchase these gummies as I can imagine that I might see further results in both areas after further use.

Snooze Vitamins

The key ingredients in the Snooze gummies are;

5-HTP, L-Theanine, Chamomile, Lavender, Griffonia Seed, Montmorency cherry, Vitamin B6, Asparagus Racemosus, Lemon Balm Leaf

I took these vitamins once a day for a month. I liked the taste of the gummies and they helped me to feel ready for sleep, however I didn’t give them a particularly fair test as my puppy had an operation in the middle of the month and kept us awake regardless! I would need to try them for a longer period of time to see any potential benefits.

Overall, out of the two, I would recommend trying the Hair, Skin & Nails Vitamin Gummies as I saw visible results. In fact I have just bought myself two more bottles! They are currently on offer on the Starpowa website for £19.99 or they are in the penny sale at Holland and Barrett where you can buy one for £39.99 and get one for a penny. Thank you to the This is Summer team as well as Starpowa for the opportunity to provide you with the review.

Have you ever tried vitamin gummies before? Have they worked for you?

  1. I’m definitely going to try these. I’m not the best at taking vitamins and always look at gummy ones but they are rarely vegetarian/vegan so these look right up my street. I’ve been looking to get some hair/nail specific ones for a while as my nails have become so dry and brittle since the over use of alcohol gel! Really helpful to see your review and the before and after pics!

  2. I have tried general multi vitamins before but didn’t really notice a difference. I would be keen to try a more specific vitamin such as the hair and nails one. When you get older your hair and nails thin and need extra attention. I am keen to try some and see my hair and nails more healthy. I have a wedding this year and it would be good to see some results by then.

  3. Love this! I’ve never tried vitamins before but always feel like I should and this looks right up my alley with the gummies and yummy flavours. I definitely need the nails ones as my nails are constantly weak and cracking
